A Charming bungalow in charlotte’s West end
The beauty of up and coming areas is that sometimes that means the opportunity to give an older property a new life and purpose. This sweet bungalow was built in 1947 and received a full renovation by the previous owners back in 2018. With a new lease on life, the current owners purchased it as a two unit property to use as a short term rental. Though the bones were great, and the renovations meant it was in good shape to welcome guests - creating a space that feels inviting and makes the right first impression when people are searching for a potential place to rent often comes down to the furnishings. That’s where we came in.
As the market has become saturated with short term rentals, potential renters often only give a property a few seconds before judging it as a possibilty or moving on. Those displayed photos are invaluable when it comes to capturing a renter’s attention enough for them to click that “see more” button.
When we are designing rentals, we focus on creating a cohesive design that feels intentional and well thought out. We want to create interest, while also providing furnishings that feel more like a special home away from home versus the leftovers from a college apartment. Through trial and error we have identified furnishings that are easy on the budget while maintaining a standard of quality and durability that will ensure they can handle high traffic use for years to come.
Our direction for the bungalow was to lean into the modern city vibes of Charlotte, taking into consideration the permanent elements of the home like the modern slat accent wall and built in TV console, as well as the light and bright kitchen and bathrooms. Yet, we wanted to do it in a way that still felt cozy and inviting.

One of the biggest perks of a short term rental over a hotel is the ability to cook at the rental. In over 90% of our projects we equip kitchens to ensure guests have everything they need to cook delicious meals on their trip. We have developed a thorough list of items that cover all the basic needs in the kitchen and pride ourselves that guests staying at our properties will never complain about a lack of the essentials. We consider each property as if we were the guests to call it home, and stock it accordingly.

Perhaps the most important pieces of any good short term rental are the bedrooms. Sleep is king every day, but especially when you are traveling. We work to consider every factor that provides the ultimate rest. From lamps with built in chargers, blackout window treatments, high quality bedding, and mattresses with over 160,000 reviews.

Our standard bedroom package includes a sturdy bed and highly reviewed mattress, bedding, nightstands, standard size dresser, arm chair if there is adequate space, window treatments, and decor to make it feel comfortable and inviting. We like to create unique experiences in each room, but keep an overall cohesive design throughout the home.
This charming bungalow is located in Charlotte, North Carolina just minutes from NoDA, Plaza Midwood, Uptown and South End, as well as numerous breweries, coffee shops, restaurants and bars. Available to rent here.
